Kaspersky Technical Preview 21.26 on Windows 11
After every reboot, Kaspersky Service 21.26 (AVP21.26) crashes repeatedly:
Event Viewer → System → Service Control Manager, Event ID 7034:
"Kaspersky Service 21.26 terminated unexpectedly."
It occurs four times; Windows restarts it twice after 10 seconds, then the service remains stopped.The Kaspersky UI then hangs indefinitely. This persists after:
- Running the Norton 360 removal tool
- Running kavremover and reinstalling the Preview cleanly
- Confirming BFE, Windows Firewall, Security Center, Cryptographic Services, and WMI are present/running
- Enabling a system-managed paging file
Service config:
AVP21.26 -> "C:\Program Files (x86)\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Technical Preview 21.26\avp.exe" -r
Runs as LocalSystem; no declared dependencies.Note: Windows 11 is a custom/minimised installation with Microsoft Defender removed.
GSI 6 failed to complete after 45 minutes.
